7 Signs of Water Under Your Hardwood Floor

The most common signs are cupping, dark stains along seams, a musty smell, soft or spongy spots, new gaps or squeaks, a hazy or peeling finish, and warm spots on a slab floor. Any one of them is worth a moisture check.
